I’m Jamie Jack of all Trades and master at fat cat taming.

A little description of what you’re looking at. I love being creative! I especially love dabbling in new ways to be creative. I started off with painting, then using clay sculpts. Now I’m digitally painting and 3D sculpting!

3D Sculptry & Animation

I am experienced in 3D Sculpting and 3D animation. Recently I self-taught rigging which is a hard process but with time i will be able to master it.

Graphic Design

I freelance as a side portion of my career and I have experience in designing and production of product labels. I do also have experience creating identity brands and its literature applications.

Web Design

I am experienced in designing and developing websites for both personal use and professional net identity

Portfolio

3D Robot Model & Hyper render

This project started off with a quick concept drawing of 30 min. From there I added detail as I modelled with Autodesk Maya. After spending a few hours getting it blocked out I textured and rendered the model with the program Vray.

Process

Learning how to make materials was the main part of this project. It took a lot of messing around to get the textures right even though I could go back and keep working on it for hours. Had to let it go at some point!

Experience

I loved this project for the first time experiences of using Vray! Making something that looked like nothing and turned it into a soulful machine. I really enjoyed the process.

Puff Daddy

Game Jam 2018 we did a small game and this was one of the characters I built using Maya.

Process

I had to be extremely quick with this one. The textures and animation was probably the hardest part, I cheated and used auto UV. I plan on fixing it when we go back to the game.

Experience

I experienced panic and fear that this wouldn’t turn out. Turned out pretty good in the end, I now know what working under extreme pressure feels like.

Studio Gibli Bath House

A project in 2018 RRC class. This was a 5 week project, I did it in 30 hours. Unfortunately what you’re looking at is basic textures instead of the intended Substance Painter. 

Process

Maya and basic textures. Blocks and blobs. The style I was going for was extreme simple and cute.

Experience

Still not satisfied with the project. It’s one of those things where I will start over from scratch one I get enough experience with substance painter.

Spirit of famine

This is my most favourite creature yet! The spirit famine we defeated in our adventures.

Process

Zbrush modelled and painted. This was a bit of a challenge since I never painted with Zbrush before. Time spent modelling painting and putting on different materials was around 20 hours.

Experience

I had a lot of fun modelling this. It didn’t take a long time, or maybe it did and I was just having so much fun with it. Challenges for me were learning how UV and exporting.
